2006 - December 11th - Giant Iguana Visits Our Marina

'Things' have been busy here at the Legacy Harbour Marina in Fort Myers with Boater coming and going, getting ready for Christmas, etc .. we have also had many new Boaters to the Marina this Season with new faces showing up on the Docks every day ..

.. on Monday afternoon about 01:15 pm we had a new face show up on B-Dock .. after checking his list of 'new to the Marina' Boaters our Harbourmaster Dave determined that the new face on the B-Dock was not one of the new Boaters but was annnn .. IGUANA !! .. YES an Iguana about 5 to 6 feet in length ..

.. since Legacy does not have any 6 Foot Iguana Slips it was decided to ask Mr. Iguana to leave .. that is when I first spotted the Creature on B-Dock heading down the Dock towards our Lighthouse .. with Camera in hand I headed out to defend the Lighthouse and our little Ice Cube Snowman that we have on the Dock .. the following are some of the photos that I took ..

at Noon all was quite on B-Dock	at first I thought that the Creature was an Alligator
then I took a closer look at the Creature and I knew that it was not an Alligator	.. it was an Iguana !!
.. the Marina Staff with 'Iguana Removal Tools' in hand ..	.. it was a GIANT Iguana !! about 6 foot long
.. Betty was just returning to Dee Light from ..	Eric with Broom, Lana with Camera and Dave with Box

.. at this time we are unsure as to the exact location of Mr. Iguana .. we do have our Christmas Party set up for Thursday evening on B-Dock .. so he may appear for the Party .. any recopies for Iguana Soup, BBQ Iguana, etc ?? ..
